Square Eye x Littleton Chambers win Outstanding Website award at WebAwards 2026

10 Sep 2026

We’re delighted to announce that Square Eye has been awarded an Outstanding Website award at the 2026 WebAwards for the site we designed and built for Littleton Chambers, a leading London set specialising in employment, commercial, sports and arbitration law. See more about the award.

About Littleton Chambers & the project

Littleton Chambers is a leading set specialising in employment, commercial, civil fraud, sports, partnership, investigations and arbitration work, with a fast-growing international practice in the Middle East. The chambers had outgrown its old site: navigation was confusing, the mobile experience fell short of what today’s visitors expect, and a design built around a narrow, rather “angry” red, grey and black palette no longer reflected a set that had recently been named Employment Set of the Year at the Chambers & Partners Awards 2024 and picked up three Legal 500 awards for its sports and employment work.

This was a combined branding and website redesign project – the WebAward itself recognises the website part – and it needed to do two things at once: give full weight to Littleton’s employment law reputation while making its equally substantial commercial practice far more visible. The brief settled on a brand personality built around being professional, expert, rigorous and approachable, expressed visually through a modern, clean, timeless finish. Key aims included:

  • Modernising the design with a broader colour palette, while staying true to the existing brand
  • Fixing mobile responsiveness and meeting accessibility standards, including font sizing and colour contrast
  • Building a more flexible layout with a strong focus on ease of navigation
  • Introducing richer content formats, including video and audio, to reflect Littleton’s expanding recordings section of podcasts and webinars
  • Giving prospective clients and solicitors a genuinely useful way to find the right barrister, and better showcasing commercial and business protection expertise alongside the chambers’ employment work

We are delighted that Littleton’s new website has been recognised with an Outstanding Website Award at the Web Awards 2026. The team at Square Eye were a pleasure to work with, understanding our brief from the outset and helping us create a modern, user-friendly website. We’re extremely pleased with the result and grateful for their support throughout the project.

Why this matters

  • For Littleton Chambers: this award confirms that its new site meets a genuinely high standard for usability, credibility and presentation, at a time when solicitors, peers and prospective pupils are forming their first impressions online.
  • For Square Eye: it’s independent recognition, from a panel of senior industry judges, that our approach to legal sector websites, pairing thoughtful design with the practical realities of chambers marketing, works.
  • For chambers and law firms more widely: a clean, classical design and a confident, personable tone aren’t mutually exclusive. Done well, that combination builds authority without sacrificing approachability.

About the WebAwards

The WebAwards are organised by the Web Marketing Association (WMA) and recognise excellence in website development and internet marketing. This year’s judges included web industry experts and senior professionals from companies such as Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Meta, Adobe, IBM, Salesforce, NVIDIA, PlayStation, Lenovo, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Warner Bros. Pictures, National Geographic, PBS, McCann, R/GA, AKQA, Razorfish and MediaMonks.

From the judges

The WebAwards judges had this to say about the Littleton Chambers website:

This is an excellent site for users, clients, peers, “all things serious” when it comes to representation and caring. Ostensibly it is a B2B site but the content is compelling and the presentation efficient yet really tastefully presented. There definitely is a digital elegance to the design as well. The use of links to podcast episodes, webinars, [and] the Recordings section, is a great way to share information while also giving insight into the people delivering it. The site’s barrister search is very nicely done: a well-built site search takes thought and time to get the data served up correctly, and this one does a great job of it.

LittletonChambers.com immediately conveys authority and professionalism, which is critical for a leading barristers’ chambers. The site clearly communicates its strength in employment, commercial, sports, arbitration, investigations and related areas, while prominent Legal 500 and Chambers UK Bar endorsements reinforce credibility. The “Find a Barrister” functionality is especially useful, and the site’s news, cases, events and expertise pages demonstrate a chambers that is active and engaged in its fields.

Some of the design and functional strengths that helped the site win:

  • A distinctive, tastefully handled design that balances a professional, B2B tone with genuine warmth and personality
  • A well-built barrister search that serves up detailed content across multiple filters
  • A dedicated Recordings section bringing podcast episodes and webinars into the site, adding insight into the barristers behind the content
  • Clear, credible communication of practice areas, strengthened by prominent Legal 500 and Chambers UK Bar endorsements
  • Active news, cases and events sections that demonstrate a chambers genuinely engaged in its fields

Other WebAward-winning websites by Square Eye

This win continues a strong run of recognition for our work. In 2025, we won a Non-Profit Standard of Excellence for the FIRS website, and in 2024 and 2022 we picked up three Legal Standard of Excellence WebAwards for three very different websites:

And in 2023, we celebrated an Outstanding Website win for our work on the Cornerstone Barristers website, the same category Littleton has now won.
