We’ve been building websites and solving digital problems for over two decades. Our agency began in 1999, started by three arts graduates who were excited by the potential of the web to share ideas and create tools that anyone, anywhere, could use. From the start, we were drawn to organisations working in the arts, politics and the Third Sector — and as word spread, we were invited into another world entirely: the legal sector.
We quickly discovered how much we enjoyed working with lawyers and legal marketers — smart, focused people who appreciated clear explanations and solid service. Today, we specialise in websites for law firms and barristers’ chambers, while continuing to take on projects in adjacent fields such as charities, consultancies and membership associations.

We believe great service is the best form of marketing. Our philosophy is simple: sell by helping. That means giving thoughtful advice, using plain English, and providing a support experience that’s fast, reliable and personal. Many of our clients are not technical — so we take pride in making the complex simple, and being the team they know they can call.
We’ve also invested heavily in our systems and processes, enabling us to resolve hundreds of support requests a week efficiently and professionally. Our compact, international team works across time zones, and many of our clients have come to see us as an extension of their own team — especially because we know their sector inside out.

We’ve worked with the Bar for over 20 years, and many of our clients have been with us for more than a decade. Our long experience means we can often solve problems more quickly and cost-effectively, because we’ve seen the same challenges before — and in many cases, already built the tools to solve them.
We understand the practicalities of how chambers operate, what’s needed to support practice groups and individual barristers, and what makes a site genuinely useful to clerks, marketers and prospective clients. We bring that same attention and insight to our work with solicitors, legal publishers, membership bodies and beyond.
How we work
We’re a small team of ten, based in cities worldwide and working fully remotely since 2015. That means our clients always deal with people who know their setup, understand their goals, and can offer joined-up advice. It also means we’re ready to adapt — whether you need to move quickly, work flexibly, or roll out something new.
While website design, build and support is at the core of what we do, we’re also problem-solvers and experimenters by nature. From automation to AI, we’re always looking for better ways to reduce overhead, save time, and make complex processes simpler. The best projects? The ones where we get to ask “how could this be done better?” — and then make it happen.
